Business Succession

Eventually all business owners must address how they will transition their ownership, and for many this will be one the hardest decisions they will make in their lifetime.  It is only natural that with all the hard work and years to build a successful business, transitioning to someone else will not be easy.  And for those with a family business the complications may be even greater.

In a family business you may have some who work in the business and others who do not.  Also, for those in the business they may not have the skillset to run the business as you do.  How do you put together your succession plan without ruining family harmony?  Each family is unique and the techniques and strategies that work with one family may not work for the next.
